There's probably a cool metaphor in this video but that's not important. What is important is how I made it. 
Not only did I use Blender to create this animation but I also created the sound effects using random objects at home. I used a plastic pencil sharpener, a straw from my smoothie, a mason jar lid, a flip flop, a flashlight, and a bell. I slightly edited the sounds in Adobe Premiere Pro and lined them up with the movement of the shapes in the animation. 
This is how they make sound effects in movies (both live action and animated). It's called Foley.
